Award winning Performance at MTI festival in Birmingham.

On the 11th of May a talented group of Footlights Students across all ages of the school jumped on a coach at 5am and headed to Birmingham for the Musical Theatre International Junior Musical Theatre Festival!

They arrived to be greeted at the gigantic International Conference Centre with hundreds of other young musical theatre performers from all over the country. They then got the opportunity to perform a 10 minute extract from Seussical for adjudication in front of a panel of industry judges and an audience of lots of other performing arts schools from all over the country.

All of our performers shone on stage during the adjudication and really showed they have a passion for the performing arts and we got brilliant feedback from the judges.

Two of our senior students Molly and Erin were chosen as 'All starts and took part in a special workshop and main stage performance with students from other school. An amazing opportunity.

Tina and Bev took part in an inspirational teacher's workshop where they learnt some great tips for future shows and got a chance to perform on the main stage.

The icing on the cake was taking home the trophy for the best acting and dramatisation for our performance. It was a day we will never forget and we are so proud of everyone who took part!
